I look around with wonder. So, this is what it’s like to be on the inside of a blog. Well, there’s not much to see, yet. First of all, I decided to do this blog because it’s an easy way to keep in touch with people who read my stories, or who just like to read, in general. I won’t be here trying to sell you anything, though I would appreciate it if you took a trip to the HOME page to see what’s up.
I will, however, keep you posted on what I’m working on, and when you might be able to read it. I might even give you a link to a sneak peek, once in a while. So, for that, I’ve finished the first draft of “Savage Rule” and am currently working on the first rewrite. My friend, and fellow author, Colin S Douglas, is doing copy editing and beta reading. I hope to have it out and available in the next couple months. We’ll see.
Another thing I’d like to do with this blog is talk about other author’s books. There are books that I love and ones that have inspired me to be what I am. I recently re-read “Salem’s Lot” by Stephen King. It’s the third time that I’ve read it, and I get something new from it, every time. The first time, I acquired my love for speculative fiction. If you read this book, and then one of his more recent ones, like “The Institute” and you’ll really get an idea of how King’s writing has evolved and matured over the years. It happens with all of us writers, and we hope the change is for the better. It usually is.
That’s all for now. If you’ve read “Salem’s Lot” and want to tell me your thoughts, you can find me at www.facebook.com/writerlorne or you can CONTACT ME here. You can also reach out if you just want to ask a question or give me a general comment. I look forward to hearing from you.
